Pavithra Ilanko joined the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation Team in October 2019 as a Clinical Trial Coordinator. Pavithra has a Masters Degree in Molecular and Clinical Microbiology and a Bachelors in Biomedical Science from Griffith University. She has gained more than five years of extensive drug discovery and microbial research experience, focusing primarily on tackling antibiotic resistance. In addition to academic research and teaching experience, Pavithra has also worked in Phase 1 and 2 clinical trials for over four years. She has worked in various departments in the Clinical Trial Unit including: Data Management as a Clinical Research Assistant, Laboratory Department as a Deputy Clinical Laboratory Manager and in Project Management as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Pavithra strives to contribute to the field of clinical trials in her role as a Clinical Trial Coordinator and hopes to help improve the health and wellbeing of patients.
