    Miriam Kent

Miriam joined GMRF in July 2023 in the role of CEO. Miriam spent the previous 15 years working for Brisbane City Council and its subsidiary Brisbane Economic Development Agency. Miriam’s key roles at Council included leading Customer and Community outcomes, while at Brisbane Economic Development Agency she led the establishment of the Brisbane Business Hub, launched in October 2020, an initiative to provide support to local businesses to recover and grow in response to COVID-19. Miriam also established the MedTech Initiative supporting local early stage commercial businesses with pathways to market, investment and amplification of innovation.

Miriam’s previous roles saw her in Regional Management positions for the Body Shop both in the UK and Australia and as Commercial Manager for Marks and Spencer, UK.

Working closely with the Chair of the Board of Directors, Miriam provides strategic direction and leadership to the formulation and achievement of the GMRF’s goals and objectives.

Miriam is responsible for the overall operations of GMRF and the execution of the Board’s strategy and policies.
