Meet Ranee – passionate clinical nurse, loving mum and dedicated Cancer Wellness Coordinator. Ranee works closely with Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation (GMRF) to deliver the Cancer Wellness Program at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

With Ranee’s help, we can provide much needed support to people with cancer and their loved ones all year round.

My name is Ranee, I’m a clinical nurse and the Cancer Wellness Program Coordinator at Greenslopes Private Hospital (GPH). Each day I see the non-stop flow of people receiving cancer treatment and their loved ones at the GPH Cyril Gilbert Cancer Centre. Working with cancer, I see heartbreak around every corner, but more importantly I see strength and hope.

When I tell people about my work they always respond with ‘oh that job would be so hard.’ To tell you the truth there are some really tough days but the Cancer Wellness Program, proudly funded by Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation, gives me hope that this support will make a positive difference in the lives of many.

The Cancer Wellness Program offers patients access to services including education sessions, exercise tips, mindfulness techniques and so much more.

I am so proud to be a part of a program that enhances patients’ health and wellbeing by making them feel like they have somewhere to go for guidance. By empowering patients, I hope to see those who have previously felt a bit lost, find direction and feel supported.

Ranee Saffioti,
Cancer Wellness Program Coordinator

The Cancer Wellness Program relies on the generous support of people just like you. Together we can ensure patients and their families get the support they need when they need it. By helping us raise the funds this Christmas to keep the Cancer Wellness Program running for another year, you will be making sure no one has to face cancer alone.
