Gallipoli Medical Research (GMR) CEO Miriam Kent, on behalf of the Board and staff, congratulates Brendan Cox on his appointment as the first Chief Executive of the new Veteran and Family Wellbeing Agency.

“Brendan has the lived experience, both in Defence and working for the veteran community, to bring that greater understanding of the challenges our ex-servicemen and women face,” Miriam said.

“Brendan has served on the GMR Board since 2023 and has been a huge supporter of our veteran health research, including the critical role of families and carers.”

“For the past ten years, Brendan has championed social, financial and developmental support for families of veterans as Legacy Brisbane’s CEO and will no doubt excel in providing this support to a wider Australian community,” she said.
