The Veteran Mental Health Team is currently recruiting participants to participate in surveys or workshops, as part of the following research studies:

 

1. Spill-over effects of informal care in veteran families (Survey)

CLOSING 30 June 2025

Help us understand the costs, and health and wellbeing impacts of informal care in military families

If you are:

  • an adult who has been in a caregiver role to an ill or injured ADF family member for more than two weeks in the past six months, OR
  • aged 12-18 years and from a family with such a caregiver

2. Veterans and medication safety: understanding and improving practices (Survey)

CLOSING 30 JUNE 2025

Help us understand veteran knowledge about safe use of medications and how education could be improved

  • A veteran taking two or more medications to treat a chronic health condition

3. Empowering health literacy in Queensland veterans and veteran families (Workshop)

4. Families and the military-civilian transition (Survey)

CLOSING 30 APRIL 2025

Help us understand the experiences and needs of families transitioning from military to civilian life

If you are:

  • a veteran who has transitioned within the last 10 years
  • family of a current Defence member who is transitioning or a veteran (who has transitioned in the last 10 years), including:
  • parents
  • partners 
  • adolescents (12-18 years)

5. Families and the military-civilian transition (Workshop)

REGISTRATION CLOSING 30 MARCH 2025

Help us understand the experiences and needs of families transitioning from military to civilian life

If you are:

    • a veteran who has transitioned within the last 10 years
    • family of a current Defence member who is transitioning or a veteran (who has transitioned in the last 10 years), including:
      • parents
      • partners (and ex-partners)
      • adolescents (12 – 18 years)
    • a professional from ex-service, allied health, and other community organisations who have has experience working with military/veteran populations and/or their family members.
