Join our latest survey to shed light on the cost and health and wellbeing impact of informal care in military families.
Why Participate? Gallipoli Medical Research (GMR) has launched an online survey study to investigate the effects of caring for an injured or ill veteran on your health and well-being. Your insights will contribute to better support services and may inform policy for military families.
Who Can Join?
- Adult family caregivers (19+ years) living in Australia;
- Have provided paid or unpaid caregiving assistance to an injured/ill current serving or transitioned ADF member within the last 6 months.
- Teens aged 12-18 living in Australia;
- Have a parent who has provided care to an ill or injured family member who currently serves in or transitioned from the ADF.
- Parents of teenagers (aged 12 to 18 years) residing in Australia;
- Members of families where someone is caring for an injured/ill current permanent or transitioned ADF member.
What’s Involved?
- Complete an online survey:
- Adult survey takes 20-30mins to complete.
- Parents survey takes 5-10mins to complete.
- Teen survey takes 5-10mins to complete.

* A current permanent ADF member is someone who is currently engaged in full-time permanent non-cadet service in any branch of the ADF. A transitioned ADF member is someone who has left full-time permanent military service and can be in a status of discharged from Defence, inactive reservist, or active reservist.
