MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING
The Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation has launched their latest study investigating Mental Health First Aid training for families of ex-service personnel with a mental health condition.
We are seeking family members of ex-service personnel to complete a 12 hour Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training course (across 2 days) and complete six questionnaires at three time points.
The MHFA training course will be free of charge and involves gaining skills in providing initial support to adults experiencing mental health problems or crises. The course will be delivered by an accredited MHFA Instructor at Greenslopes Private Hospital
To be eligible for participation, you are required to be:
• A family member of ex-service personnel with a mental health condition (including partner, parent, sibling, adult child, in-law or extended family member).
• Currently residing with or in weekly contact with the relative with a mental health condition.
• Over the age of 18 years.
