A rare cause of human disease, mycobacterium triplex is a slow-growing nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) that was first described in 1996. This retrospective study reviews the epidemiology, clinical features, outcomes and drug susceptibility testing of mycobacterium triplex in Queensland from the 1st January 2000 to 31st December 2016. It was found 43 patients (21 male) had positive cultures for M. triplex.
