Dr Sarah Hampton
Dr. Sarah Hampton is a Clinical Psychologist who currently works as a Research Officer at Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation (GMRF). She completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with First Class Honours at the University of Queensland in 2011. She then completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University in 2014. Dr Hampton’s doctoral research focused on the mediating influence of mindfulness and emotion dysregulation on attachment insecurity and disordered eating behaviour. Since 2014, Dr. Hampton worked as part of the Trauma Recovery Program at the Toowong Private Hospital for military personnel with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and associated psychological disorders. Dr. Hampton also worked part time in private practice where most of her case load consisted of adolescents and adults who had suffered trauma. She also works as a Clinical Psychologist on the Phoenix Australia Restore trial which seeks to determine more effective treatment options for veterans with PTSD. Dr. Hampton is passionate about the discovery and implementation of innovative therapy approaches for veterans and other trauma-affected people and groups in order that they can completely heal from their traumatic experiences.
