    Dr Michael Holt

Dr Michael Holt is a respiratory and sleep physician with an interest in bronchiectasis and mycobacterial lung disease. He was the inaugural Mycobacterial Fellow at Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2015.  Michael completed the United States Medical Licensing Examinations in 2017.  He is currently the Lowerre Fellow in the Division of Mycobacterial and Respiratory Infections at National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado.

Michael’s previous research includes a study of Mycobacterium abscessus in Queensland, which he presented at the American Thoracic Society conference in 2014.  He is interested in the etiology of nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease and is investigating hormonal links to disease susceptibility as part of an MPhil with The University of Queensland.

Michael is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, American Thoracic Society and Australasian Sleep Association. He has reviewed abstracts for the TSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting.
