GMR is proud to announce that we are a founding member of the VF-LINK Consortium. Led by Phoenix Australia (the National Centre for Excellence in Posttraumatic Mental Health), and funded by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), the VF-LINK Consortium is a national collaboration of leading research organisations working to improve the health and wellbeing of Australian veterans and their families.
The Veteran and Family – Learning and Innovation Network of Knowledge (VF-LINK) is a new research and evaluation model developed by DVA, which aims to bridge the gap between research and practice by increasing the production, translation, and sharing of high-quality evidence.
Through the initiative, research and evaluation projects will align with DVA’s five-year research strategy and contribute to improving outcomes for the veteran community.
As a VF-LINK Consortium partner, GMR will contribute its expertise in biopsychosocial veteran health research, working alongside partner organisations to generate evidence to inform policy, programs and services for veterans and their families.
GMR CEO Miriam Kent said the partnership reflects GMR’s deep expertise in veteran health, and aligns to the organisation’s priority to translate our research to deliver meaningful outcomes for the veteran community.
“Gallipoli Medical Research was founded to improve the health and wellbeing of veterans and their families,” Ms Kent said.
“Being part of the VF-LINK Consortium allows us to bring our expertise to the table, and collaborate with leading researchers, service provides and people with lived experience to accelerate the translation of research.”
