Help fund research to fight lung disease

Your generosity helps bring comfort, care, and hope to people facing nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) disease and bronchiectasis, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to supporting medical research.

Professor Rachel Thomson is an internationally regarded respiratory specialist and leads a team of dedicated doctors, medical students, research fellows and scientists.

Little is known about NTM, which is found in tap water, soil and dust and our dedicated team aim to bridge the knowledge gap, which will lead to better treatment opportunities and preventative measures.

Gallipoli Medical Research has a long-standing partnership with The University of Queensland NTM Research Group. Through this partnership, the group can conduct world-class research and clinical trials in respiratory disease.
Thank you for giving the gift of hope, and for standing with us as we continue leading research with impact.

Your data is secured safely on our donation platform, Raiser’s Edge. You can also review our Privacy Policy here for more information. Should you wish to donate over the phone, please phone our team on 07 3394 7284.

On the 15th of each month, your nominated donation amount will be deducted from your account, with a receipt issued to you at end of financial year. When you donate to an organisation with a deductible-gift-recipient (DGR) status, you can claim a tax deduction for that year. Donations typically reduce your overall taxable income, which may reduce the amount of tax you are required to pay. This is general advice only and we recommend speaking with a Financial Advisor for more information.

Donations over $2 are tax-deductible. A receipt will be issued via email to the name you provide on the online giving form.
