Despite the threat of bad weather, the rain didn’t dare wash out the annual Cancer Wellness Program’s Family Fun Day at Greenslopes Private Hospital today.
A cracking start to the school holidays, cancer wellness participants and staff brought children and grandchildren along to enjoy the petting zoo, pony rides, cupcake decorating, activities with Little Athletics and face painting.
We were pleased to welcome author and cancer survivor Helen Rays, who launched her new book The Lion with No Mane, and read to the kids.
Visitors had the chance to speak with representatives from Camp Quality, Leukemia Foundation, Share the Kindness, Look Good Feel Better, and Cancer Council.
Our special thanks to the Greenslopes Private Hospital Social Club for helping to make this event possible.
