Art in the Foyer

The
works of highly acclaimed local and interstate artists will be showcased
at Art in the Foyer , a spectacular fundraising event for
the Gallipoli Research Foundation at Greenslopes Private Hospital
.
More
than 100 pieces from artists including David Hinchcliffe, Rhyl Hinwood
, Leon Pericles, David Groom, Pam Walpole and Amanda Shadforth will
be offered for sale from Sunday 16 Friday 21 November between
the hours of 10am and 4pm.
Art
in the Foyer is an excellent opportunity for art lovers to
view a diverse range of artists who all produce superb work, said
Gallipoli Research Foundation Executive Officer, Robynne Milne.
Last year's inaugural event was an outstanding success and we are
very excited about this year's visually stunning display, she added.
Funds
raised from the sale of artworks will be used by the Foundation
to support vital medical research in the Gallipoli Research Centre
on the Hospital campus. Research interests include targeted and
immune therapy for cancer sufferers and research into liver disease
and hepatitis.
The
Gallipoli Research Foundation supports the efforts of researchers
to find causes, cures, better management methods and improved medications
and treatments for a range of major conditions which affect the
health of veterans and the Australian community at large.
