Projects for PhD, Masters and Honours Students

A number of research projects are available, all of which focus on the development and clinical evaluation of novel cell-based immune and other targeted non-toxic therapies for the treatment of cancer (particularly melanoma), myeloma, lymphoma and leukaemia. PhD projects will suit candidates with interests in clinical applications of basic research and who aim to develop the skills and background to lead their own research team or be involved in commercialization of medical research. These scholarships will provide the successful applicant with a broad training in modern cancer and immunology research.

Top-Up Scholarship
The Centre for Immune and Targeted Therapies invites applications from postgraduate students interested in undertaking medical research in the field of cancer therapeutics. Successful applicants will receive a $10,000 top-up scholarship to be provided in addition to their APRA or other scholarship.

Applicants should possess, or expect to obtain, a First Class Honours degree in Immunology, Biotechnology or a related discipline (or a Masters of Biotechnology or equivalent) or a medical degree and either hold or expect to receive an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or similar scholarship.
This is a tax-free stipend of $10,000 per year to be provided in addition to the student's Australian Postgraduate Award (or similar). Provision of the top-up scholarship is conditional upon the successful applicant receiving an APRA or similar scholarship.
