Denise Murray

Denise has been living and working in Brisbane for the past 20 years. She has had numerous group and solo shows and commissions. She has also won prizes for her work in and around Brisbane .

As an artist one of her interests has been human and animal forms and the way the body expresses emotion and attitudes. From the more literal cold cast bronze pieces to the bronze sculpture, which deals with attitude in a more abstract way, the aim is the same. To communicate feelings directly from a visual standpoint; which she feels is a more honest form of connection with the viewer.
