Amanda
Shadforth
Living
on the Sunshine Coast all of her life, Mandy showed a love of painting
from an early age. Since the age of 16 she has been well accredited
for her artist achievements. Once finishing her schooling Amanda
went on to complete her trade as a sign writer and has her own business
specialising in chalk boards and mural art on the Sunshine Coast
. She has successfully run this company for several years and only
in the past year or two years has become attached to the fine arts.
Mandy
was recently named the Mooloolaba Artist in Residence and has been
commissioned by the council to complete several murals in the Mooloolaba,
Alexandra Headland area.
Mandy
has her own studio on the Cotton Tree Esplanade “Mandy's Sundrenched
Studio” where she both paints and exhibits her work and she also
exhibits her art in the Seaview Gallery at Moffat Beach, Summer
House in Noosa, The Blue Dolphin Gallery at Mooloolaba, Cool-Art
at Coolum and the South Yarra Art House in Melbourne.
Living
by the ocean, her love of surfing, water and mother nature influence
many of her pieces. With vibrant colours reflecting the light and
shadows of the warm Queensland sunshine, many of these pieces often
allow the viewer to be transpired to the scene the artist is portraying.
