New CEO Appointed - Miriam Dwyer
Miriam Dwyer commenced as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation in May 2011
Miriam's has extensive experience in the Charity and Not for Profit sector, as well as a wealth of knowledge from every facet of the Clinical Research Industry. Miriam has extensive relevant experience having worked in Phase I-IV Clinical Trials, Regulatory Affairs, Investigator Site Management and both Pharmaceutical and Biotech drug development. Miriam's focus is in promoting excellence in research at GMRF and in ensuring the rights and well being of patients participating in trials are protected and that the integrity of the data collected is intact.
Originally from Ireland, Miriam was educated at University College Galway where she received a BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry. Miriam moved to Australia in 1989 where she worked in the field of Medical Microbiology in various public and private institutions before commencing her involvement with Clinical Research in 1996. Miriam is a member of ARCS Australia, the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group, the Queensland Clinical Trials Network and the Fundraising Institute of Australia
Miriam is an active member of the GMRF Research Committee which oversees the Research Activities at the Foundation and provides oversight and guidance to research activities which are supported by the Foundation.
